We have been so crazy with the move, oh yeah, did I mention that? LOL, nope. Sure has been awhile. Ok, so Clint is retiring from the Army as of December this year. NO MORE DEPLOYMENTS!!!! So we moved back to Utah to be with family.
We took the kids on an amazing (ok, great, but there is such thing as too much Mickey) vacation to Disney World, for 8 DAYS!!! Abby was 8 months old at the time. So it was quite the experience flying with 3 kids. They did great, and we really did have a ton of fun. Then Christmas happened, with a trip to the ER for Abby because we all had the stomach bug, but she had it so bad she had to get IV fluids to bring her out of being dehydrated.
Then came the move across country. Yeah, I don't recommend that :P Clint "dropped us off" so to speak. He had to go back to DC for 8 months and stuck me with the 3 kids for that duration. OK, ok so it was a mutual decision. Either way, that was a LONG 8 months.
Kaiden and Kayley started preschool the last school year (they are in it again this year). They love the school, and I'm not gonna lie, I love the break.
The Winter retty much consisted of the kids and I (and my extended family) all being sick for several months. Yes, our family is GREAT at sharing!
Finally came summer, and the kids could get out of my hair, er uh, play outside! The sickness finally went away. Abby had RSV with pneumonia, so that was a pretty scary time.
Kaiden and Kayley started some new sports for the summer. Kayley did ballet and princess camp (don't ask, I have no idea where she gets the diva princess gene from, for all those who really know me, I am the opposite of all things girly).
Kaiden did karate and soccer.
Soccer and 4-6 year olds is about the funniest thing I have every seen. The girls stop to play with the dandelions and the boys pretend to be airplanes. Oh wait, nope, most of the kids actually played the game (well, cluster of kids running and kicking the ball and each other) while Kaiden did his own thing. The games were really funny to watch though. There really is no "organized" sport for that age group. It's pretty much chase the ball and don't get hurt. Ok, so maybe just chase the ball. :)
Then came the end of summer, and soccer was over. Kaiden quit karate, and Kayley quit ballet and said she wanted to play soccer instead (that's my girl!). We decided to hold off on sports for now. The kids started preschool, and finally, FINALLY Clint came home.
Clint and I were able to (thanks so very much to my family for that!) go on a vacation, just the two of us! So what do we do, why, go to Disney World of course. Because we just couldn't get enough of it in December right? LOL.
No, we actually went to Orlando. We went to Universal Studios, Universal's Islands of Adventure, Sea World, and then for one day we went to Disney World. We basically went on all of the big rides that we couldn't go on when we had the kids. We hit up 3 of the Disney Kingdoms in one day, yes, it can be done!
So we are home. All settled into a routine, comfortable, and happy. OK, well maybe not. We're happy, but not the rest. Clint goes back to DC for 2 more weeks (I think those 2 weeks will feel longer than the 8 months!). Then he will be home for good.
Nw we get to play civilians. Clint is now on the job market. He hasn't had to worry about finding a job for 20 years.
So now, there you have it, a year in review. I could go into all the details, but I don't feel like doing that, and I doubt you want to read all of that.
So have a great day, week, month, year? Who knows when I will get back on this thing again :P
