Hello all

Sorry it has been awhile since I updated.
Let's see, the last I posted was 3 weeks ago, so here goes. On the 2nd we took the kiddos to the train station in Baltimore. Thomas the tank engine was there. The kids had a great time! If I remember I will post some pictures later. We got to ride the train just like we did at Christmas at Clint's parents house. They had all kinds of fun activities for the kids.
The following weekend, demons possessed my children. Ok, well only when we go out. I don't know what happened! My kids used to be great when going to the store, then this thing called the terrible two's showed it's ugly head, and now taking kids in public is a death sentence to my sanity! We went to one store and I was so very close to wanting to just leave my kids in the store and run! I never would have, but the thought sure crossed my mind. But then we get home and they are as cute as can be. What gives?!?
Then Sat., as if the torture of Fri. night screaming from the kids at the store wasn't enough, we decided to make a full day of shopping. WHAT WERE WE THINKING?!?! We went to Target and the kids screamed because they couldn't have everything they wanted in the store. We were on a mission, we needed to get bedding for the big kid beds. Yes, that night we were switching from cribs to twin size matresses, and like any normal parent, we wanted to use bribary to get them to stay in bed. So spending a few dollars more for princess and Thomas the tank engine blankets, in my book, was WELL worth the money! We had so many other small things we needed though, and the longer we were out the worse the kids got. I have learned a valuable lesson, don't tell the kids that you plan on doing something that day unless you know without a doubt, nothing will stop it from happening.
So we got the beds and the kids were amazing! We decided to get the bed rails because our kids toss and turn all night. I think that is the biggest reason our kids are great sleeping in their new beds. It still has the "enclosed" feeling of a crib, except they have a lot more room and they can get in and out of bed when they want. The first night, within 40 minutes of putting them to bed, they slept in their own beds. They are very proud of the big kid beds :) The bribary worked wonders. We told them if they didn't stay in bed, that we would take Thomas and Princess away, they ran back to bed!
Let's see, oh, Mother's day. Clint made me breakfast in bed :) That was very nice. We all had a "picnic" in bed and got to just relax. He also got me a necklace and a musical figurine. We got to know a few more of our neighbors that day too. There were a bunch of kids playing while we all ate. I think I counted 8 kids, maybe 9. There were 7 of them under 3 years old.
I went to UT. on Mon. to see my family and to go through the temple with my brother. He leaves to go on a mission in Brazil in July, so it was the last opportunity to see him for 2 years. I also have 2 other brothers that will likely be headed out on missions soon, so I may not get to see them for 2 years either. I came home Sat. morning.
We have some wonderful friends in my church that helped with the kiddos while I was away. Clint did an amazing job juggling work and the kids.
Kayley is doing great with potty training. We have yet to really start Kaiden.
They are both growing like crazy! I measured them and they were 34 inches, about 1.5 weeks later, it seemed some of their clothes weren't fitting, so I measured them again, and they had grown nearly half an inch! Talk about growth spurts.
Their language is expanding like crazy. They talk in full sentences. If somethig falls, they cry out "Are you ok?" They are interacting with each other a lot more now. They grab each other's hands when they want to play. Sometimes they just hold hands and go everywhere together. They dance with each other and they still fight each other. I don't know how life would be with a singleton, but they are missing out with how fun twins can be at this stage. They are each other's best friend and their bond is closer than ever. They comfort each other when sad, they scheme together, they are so amazing to watch!
Not much is going on this week. Just relaxing. Sat. I need to go ride my horse. It'll have been more than 2 weeks since I rode last.
Take care everyone!
